Harvesting in the Froese family goes all the way back to the 1940s. In 1946 Pete Froese built the first ever self-propelled forage harvester. It was the forerunner of the Farmhand. Since then the Froese's have continued with the tradition of ingenuity and building some of their own equipment to stay ahead of the current standard. This includes everything from that first self-propelled forage harvester to their latest model, built in 2000, with 610hp. They have also built their own harvest trailers that have all of the comforts of home. Including a 27ft. kitchen/living room with full size appliances, 2 full size bathrooms, a second story for their kids to sleep in and plenty of storage. They have built three 38ft. live floor silage trailers with hydraulically powered axles on the rear of the trailer to assist in muddy conditions. There are countless other innovative pieces of equipment that have been built over the years that continue to make Froese Brothers unique. Waldo Froese followed in the footsteps of four of his older brothers and began harvesting in 1957. He had six sons, all of whom were involved in the business to some extent. He has since retired but has two sons who remained in the business of custom harvesting. Ray who started in 1977 and Larry who started in 1979. Ray's son Beau also entered into the business in 1999. Today Froese Brothers is operated by Ray, Larry, and Beau. We have been blessed with a growing and successful business and choose to give God all of the glory for it.
