Froese Brothers has had a one of a kind silage operation ever since Pete Froese built the first ever self-propelled forage harvester in 1946. We ran Farmhand style choppers in the 70s and 80s. In 1995 we built the first of our next generation of choppers with a 450hp model that ran a six-row Kemper header. In 2000 we built a 610hp chopper that has run several headers from 6 up to 12 rows. Our operation has grown since then and due to a lack of time to continue building another of our own choppers in 2008, we added two John Deere 7850 machines and have run them in addition to our own. Our choppers are equipped with 8 row John Deere headers. They are also equipped with Inoculant application systems to treat the crop as it goes through the machine. To support them we have 9 straight trucks and 2 semis of our own and other trucks available. The semis have engines mounted on the trailer that are used for unloading the feed and also for powering the trailer's axles in muddy conditions. We also have two 8430 tractors equipped with dagelman blades for pushing and packing. We cover much of Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska and can meet the silage needs your cattle operation.
