Froese Brothers has had a one of a kind silage operation ever since Pete Froese built one of the world's first ever self-propelled forage harvesters in 1946. We ran Farmhand style choppers in the 70s and 80s. In 1995 we built the first of our next generation of choppers with a 450hp model that ran a six-row Kemper header. The prototype worked so well that we built two more in 1996.  In 2000 we built a 610hp chopper that has run several headers from 6 up to 12 rows. Our operation has grown since then and due to a lack of time to continue building another of our own choppers in 2008, we added factory built machines to the fleet.  We are currently running four Claas Jaguar 980 choppers with 12 row Orbis headers for corn and sorghum and pickup headers for spring work. They are also equipped with Inoculant application systems to treat the crop as it goes through the machine. We have straight trucks and semis to support the choppers on almost any haul. The semis are equipped with hydraulically driven trailer axles to make field travel possible even in muddy and sandy conditions. We also have CaseIH tractors with Grouser blades to provide our customers with an excellent packing job on a pile or pit. We cover much of Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska and can meet the silage needs of your cattle operation.
